Di Stavnitser x Superhumans Center
Ruslana Danilkina, a courageous Ukrainian soldier from Odesa, volunteered for the war at the age of 18 and recently participated in a photo shoot for the Ukrainian brand Di Stavnitser, captured by photographer Hanna Goncharova.
Ruslana's journey is one of resilience and bravery. Enlisting at a young age, she fought on the frontline near Zaporizhia and Kherson, facing constant heavy fighting. On February 10, 2023, she lost her leg under enemy fire, miraculously surviving severe injuries. Shrapnel tore off her left leg above the knee.
Enduring five surgeries, Ruslana received an artificial leg with support from the Lviv-based charity Superhumans Center. Documenting her recovery as "Nezlamna Rusia" (Unbreakable Rusya) on social media, Ruslana has become a role model for many Ukrainians. An unbreakable force of nature, she consistently supports fellow patients and dreams of becoming a psychologist. Despite her challenges, she engages in veteran support, climbs mountains with her artificial leg, and conquers new obstacles daily.
Ruslana's inspiring resilience encourages us to embrace life fully despite adversities. Her unwavering spirit, depicted in the Di Stavnitser photoshoot, showcases a beauty that radiates strength and the unbreakable will to live life to the fullest.
